Team

The NRT Carpentry Team

Our senior leadership team is committed to the smooth-running of every single development, from small-volume builds right through to large-scale, multi-phased projects.

With over 20 years of experience, we understand the challenges involved in construction and development. We are passionate about the standards we set, the quality of our workmanship and the word-of-mouth reputation we have built since 1991 as professional carpentry contractors.

We have an established team of highly-experienced supervisors who work on-site to ensure every element of the project is accounted for and delivered to the highest standard possible. They are qualified in Site Management Safety (SMSTS), Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and CSCS Occupational Works Supervisor.  With safety paramount for every build, they are also qualified in First Aid at Work and PASMA ( mobile access towers).

Our supervisors are there to manage the project on-site only and are not involved in the day-to-day labour. This means their undivided attention is focused on the performance and safety of their teams. Our dedicated HS&E Manager is involved across all developments.

Neil Traylen

Senior Partner

I have worked within the building industry for 35 years, starting as an apprentice carpenter and joiner from school. After attaining my City & Guilds qualification and Advanced Craft Certificate, I worked as a self-employed carpenter, eventually progressing to foreman. I started my own business in 1990, which developed into NRT Carpentry Contractors and, for the past 20 years, the business has grown from strength to strength. I am responsible for the overall management and direction of the business, including the commercial role.
Excellent technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail enables me to have a clear understanding of our clients’ requirements. Through the provision of a well-managed and efficient service, NRT is able to meet client expectations and build strong, long-term relationships and secure repeat business.

Procurement Manager & Technical Assistant

I joined NRT Carpentry Contractors four years ago as office manager and document controller. Prior to this I had worked as an Estimating Manager for a joinery company, so it wasn’t long before I became involved in carpentry estimation, technical drawing and design for NRT.
My joinery experience means I have been able to help develop NRT’s service for the supply of doors and bespoke furniture and fittings. Due to the increase in supply work, my role has now evolved to Procurement Manager; this includes the day to day purchasing of materials for various sites as well as joinery products and producing costing details.
