Edenbrook Village is a new housing development by respected developer Berkeley Homes Southern, located near the greenbelt village of Church Crookham. The development is composed of 193 high quality units and NRT have secured the first phase which comprises 61 traditionally built high quality 2, 3, 4 & 5 bedrooms family homes over two & three storeys.
Berkeley Homes is widely regarded as a high-quality developer of family homes and NRT has enjoyed a successful relationship with them since 2013, following an initial word-of-mouth recommendation.
Edenbrook Village features many external details which set it apart from other housing developments. Consequently, this project involves a wide range of traditional building, carpentry skills and techniques. The designs incorporate external feature detailing which includes pre-fabricated GRP canopies, some supported on timber gallows brackets, open fronted entrance porches and various bay structures. The porches are traditionally hand cut, incorporating European oak posts, and feature gable detailing whilst the bays have various post and roof configurations. Many houses incorporate Hardi Plank cladding to the external elevations.
NRT’s scope also covers 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry works and finals. This includes CLS stud-work partitions, bathroom framing, staircases, vanity units and pre-finished doors. Structural work includes engineered joists in both two and three storey buildings, combination truss and cut roofs in addition to low level, garage and car port roof structures.
